ArtSite App for Art Education:
ArtSite starts teachers off with over 200 Museum pages, filled with an images and descriptions from museum websites plus a few project suggestions to inspire students. Teachers can easily add an unlimited number of pages Museum pages organized in any number of art collections. Students become curators of their own art collections by writing their own descriptions of the Museum images or by adding new works of art to their Gallery pages. The ArtBlog gives students the ability to enter into a discussion about the works of art from their Gallery pages. Students can also share their own studio art by contributing to the ArtSite Portfolio. Teachers can save the best examples of student art to inspire new students. ArtSite also incudesthe dedicated search engine 'ArtSearch'. Teachers can add, change, and delete search categories and sitesto direct students to specific websites for enrichment and research.
ArtSite was an installable software product. It is now a cloud application, meaning ArtSite is now saved online so that teachers and students can access thier pages from any computer or iPad, at school or from home. Ideadisc, an interactive CD for students to learn through the artwork of their peers. It featured student art, the materials used, and the idea behind each project. It was delivered in a simple point and click CD-ROM. Ideadisc won the National Education Media Network Gold Apple of Excellence and was featured on the Kennedy Center's website.
Images of the Whole, a collaboration with Colin Greenly, this CD-ROM explored how an artist sees the world through images, video, and interactive puzzels.
ArtWebsite, a ready-made online student gallery. The student gallery, class descriptions, and educational web links were designed to give parents insight into the importance of art and art education.
