Create your own teaching museum. ArtSite starts you off with 200 Museum pages organized in 12 collections. Each with an image, description, and a few related project suggestions. Add an unlimited number of pages organized in any number of collections. Delete or change the included pages to match your teaching style. (None of the pre-loaded pages include any nudity.)
Download free images and descriptions from museum websites or scan print media to build your Museum pages. Add project suggestions to inspire students.
Students can contribute an unlimited number of Gallery pages by searching the ArtSite Museum and simply writing about a work of art, or they can upload a new image and write a description.
The ArtBlog gives students the opportunity to post comments to form an exchange of ideas. Teachers approve all comments before they are posted and can turn the blog on or off for each class. Search the Gallery by collection, class, and student.
The Portfolio gives students the opportunity to display their studio art and writing. Students can upload thier own art images or teachers can upload images for them. At the end of each year, teachers can save the best Portfolio pages to share with new students. The Portfolio is searchable by academic year, class, and student.
Direct students to websites with ArtSearch, the ArtSite Internet search engine. ArtSearch comes pre-loaded with a variety of worldwide museum websites and art resources. Add any number of web links organized by your choice of search categories. You can also delete or change the included search categories and weblinks.
Easily add, change, and delete class names, student Gallery and Portfolio pages, and all student records including student usernames and passwords.

How does it work?
- Click the "Teacher Registration" link on the ArtSite home page.
- Enter your email name, address, and a password.
- You will receive a confirmation email with a link to activate your account.
- Log in to enter your classes, check out the Teacher's Guide, and retreive your access code.
After your classes are set up, students can click 'Student Registration' on the ArtSite home page. Students enter their name, email address, password, your access code, and then choose the class they are enrolled in. When registration is complete, students will see their new username (a combination of their email address plus numbers). Teacher's can also register students from the teacher admin pages.
If a student is enrolled in more than one class, they are required to register for each class separately. Students can use the same email address and password, however a new set of numbers will be generated after the email address.
After registering, teachers and students can log in anytime to share ArtSite from any computer or iPad. Students will only see the Museum, Gallery, and Portfolio pages created by their teacher and classmates.
