ArtSite starts you off with over 200 Museum pages organized
into 12 collections. Each page features an image and description as well as a few related project suggestions (a total of over 400 project ideas). Teachers can contribute an unlimited number of Museum pages organized by and unlimited number of collections. It's easy to add. change, and delete Museum pages.

Log in to password protected teachers pages to customize ArtSite to match your teaching goals. Add, delete, or change museum pages, collection names, web search categories, web site links, and all student records.
Students contribute to the Gallery by exploring the ArtSite Museum and then writing a description or interpretation of the art on display. Students can also research Internet websites or print sources to find new images and descriptions. The Gallery is searchable by art collection, class name, and student name.
The ArtBlog gives students the opportunity to write comments on Gallery pages. Teachers must approve all comments before they are posted. The ArtBlog can be turned on or off for each class.
Students contribute studio art to the ArtSite Portfolio, a searchable gallery of student art. Students write a description, interpretation, or creative writing under their art. Teachers can save the best Portfolio pages from each year to inspire new students. The Portfolio is searchable by academic year, class name, student, grade level, and media.
Internet access is not requried. However if an Internet connection is available, you can guide students to useful websites with ArtSearch, a teacher customized Internet search engine. ArtSite starts you of with 50 museum website links.

Copyright law allows teachers to download an unlimited number of images from the Internet for classroom use.
ArtSite is available in 4 different versions. The versions reflect the number of teachers and students who are licensed to use the software. ArtSite is a one-time purchase with no additional yearly fees.
- Artsite Basic - $79 - License for one teacher & his or her students to share via a classroom computer or small classroom network.
- ArtSite Classroom - $199 - License for two or more teachers & their students to share via a small classroom computer or small classroom network. All of the teachers and students sharing the classroom can view the shared Museum, Gallery, and Portfolio. Each teacher can also create their own museum collections which are only viewable by their students. Teachers individually manage their student records and student gallery and portfolio pages. When a student is logged in, they only have access to the Museum and Gallery associated with thier teacher.
- ArtSite Network - $299 - License for teachers & students to share via a school network server. (Includes ArtSite Classroom for classroom networks.) All of the teachers and students sharing the network can view the shared Museum, Gallery, and Portfolio.
